The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), founded in 1960, is an international juridical person, whose objective is to promote the integration and the development of its founding member countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Headquartered in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, it has regional offices in each Central American country.

CABEI is a multilateral development bank whose mission is to promote the economic integration and balanced economic and social development of the Central American countries.

CABEI makes an impact on the region through its 2010-2014 Institutional Strategy, "Competitiveness with Integration and Social Development,” with its three pillars: Social Development, Regional Integration and Competitiveness, its cross-cutting axis of Environmental Sustainability and its Gender Equity Policy.
