CAE USA Inc., a Tampa defense company focused on leader training in various fields, has been awarded a $33 million contract modification for KC-135 Aircrew Training systems. The modification is to a $7.2 million contract awarded to the company. The company has been the main contractor for the U.S. Air Force’s KC-135 Aircrew Training systems since December 2010 and is responsible for aircrew training services until 2020. The recent modification has a fiscal 2020 option to extend the contract.

The KC-135 ATS program delivers initial qualification, requalification, continuation and upgrade training for KC-135 aircrews, including pilots, navigators and boom operators for the Air Force as well as several international militaries, according to its website. Work on the contract will be performed at MacDill Air Force Base and other bases throughout the country and the world. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2020.
