UAE-based and chairman Emad Azmy-led contractor, ASGC, has been picked to build the region’s first cruise port terminal, real estate giant Meraas`s Dubai Cruise Terminal, located between Bluewaters and Palm Jumeirah at Dubai Harbour, a 186ha development launched in January 2017 by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. As part of the project, ASGC will deliver building works for two main cruise terminal buildings located on a 1km quay. Additionally, the contractor will implement all associated fit-out and external works, and install fixtures, fittings, and equipment (FFE) for the project, as well as build a central unit structure for the project. Commenting on the contract, chief executive officer of ASGC, the firm would deliver Dubai Cruise Terminal using latest construction processes.
